问立志。
先生曰：「只念念要存天理，即是立志。能不忘乎此，久则自然心中凝聚，犹道家所谓『结圣胎』[1]也。此天理之念常存，驯至于美大圣神，亦只从此一念存养扩充去耳。」
有人问立志。
先生说：「只要念念不忘存天理，就是立志。能不忘记这一点，时间久了自然在心中凝聚，就像道家所说的『结圣胎』。这天理之念常存不懈，逐渐达到美、大、圣、神的境界，也只是从这一念存养扩充去罢了。」
Someone asked about setting the will.
The Master said: "To have every thought bent on preserving heavenly principle — that is setting the will. Never forget this, and in time it naturally condenses in the mind, like the Daoists' 'forming the sacred embryo.' With this thought of heavenly principle ever present, one ascends by degrees to what is beautiful, great, sage, divine — all simply from nourishing and expanding this one thought."
- 道教炼内丹，以母体结胎比喻凝聚精、气、神三者炼成之丹，曰「结圣胎」。
