又说：「功夫若不透过这个真机，怎能使它充实光辉？若能透过，不是凭你的聪明知解接得来的；必须胸中渣滓浑然化尽，不使有毫发沾带才行。」
He also said: 'Not threading this true spring, how should the work grow solid and shining? Thread it, and it is not fetched by wit or gloss: the breast's dross must melt wholly, not a hair's adhesion left.'
